Coastal Arts Center of Orange Beach

Coastal Arts Center of Orange Beach (CAC) was opened in 1960 and has been an integral part of the Orange Beach, Alabama community ever since. CAC is a not-for-profit organization that offers live theatre productions and events, art classes and workshops, yoga classes, meeting space for social gatherings, and more.

One of the most popular features at CAC is The Dorothy B. Williams Theatre. Located on "the hill" overlooking the water in downtown Orange Beach this venue brings visitors from near and far to enjoy live theatre performances throughout the year! Every season there are approximately ten plays; many with famous theatre stars such as Hal Holbrook, Betty Buckley, and William Hutt just to name a few! Aside from their main stage productions, they offer several groups including the youth theatre, the improv group The Big Show, and others.

Visitors can also enjoy live music at CAC! From big names like Gregg Allman to local talent, there is always something exciting going on! They even offer other events such as wine tastings, murder mystery dinners, workshops, and more. Visitors can take part in daily tours of the facility or sign up for guided tours that highlight their history and contributions to the community.

Coastal Arts Center offers visitors a unique way to experience both history and arts! As Orange Beach continues to grow it's great to see this local historical treasure thriving under new management. This artist enclave will surely continue to be an inspiration for years to come!
