About Orange Beach, Al - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Located in Baldwin County, Alabama, Orange Beach is a thriving city with a population of about 5,400.  The city is situated along the Gulf of Mexico and is bordered by Florida’s Perdido Key to the east.

First settled in the mid-1860s, the area of Orange Beach was originally a Creek Indian settlement. As time passed and other individuals began to settle in the area, tourism became an important element to the city’s development. Electrical service was established in Orange Beach in 1948 and phone service was brought to the area in 1956.

Orange Beach has one elementary school that is part of the Baldwin County School System. The school serves about 373 students from around the area. Students at the middle and high school levels attend school in the neighboring city of Gulf Shores.

Several notable attractions are located in and around Orange Beach. In March, the city hosts an annual art festival that features visual artists, music, authors, and performing artists. For individuals who enjoy the outdoors, Orange Beach maintains a backcountry trail and a canoe trail. The Seas Museum and Orange Beach Indian Center feature many exciting exhibits that house many local artifacts. Also, the Coastal Arts Center exhibits work from more than 150 artists and offers public art classes.

Due to the city’s location in the southern portion of the United States, winter tends to be mild. Daytime temperatures range from the low to mid-60s on average. However, cold fronts can move into the area so it is wise to speak with an HVAC technician regarding heat pump and furnace options in order to keep indoor temperatures comfortable when colder weather moves into the area.

Orange Beach is located in a humid subtropical climate, so weather during the summer months is often very warm and humid. It is not uncommon for temperatures to reach well into the 90s during the day. Individuals will want to invest in a cooling system to remain comfortable throughout the warmer months of the year.
