Gulf State Park

Gulf State Park is located in Gulf Shores, Alabama. Visitors can enjoy camping, fishing, swimming and other outdoor recreational activities. The park's beaches are popular during the summer months for visitors seeking an escape from the heat of nearby cities.

Gulf State Park has 29 miles of open white sandy beaches that run adjacent to Fort Morgan. These oceanfront public areas offer great views of the Barrier Islands while offering many ways to have fun outdoor experiences. Fishing is another popular activity at Gulf State Park where anglers will find coastal fishing opportunities for sea trout, flounder, red drum or even shark along Alabama's Emerald Coast beaches & waterways. A saltwater fish cleaning station is available on the beach adjacent to campground #22 behind section J-1 canal.

A popular way to beat the summer heat is to take a swim in either of Gulf State Park's two large freeform pools. One pool is adjacent to the Conference Center while the other is located next to the state park fishing pier. This Olympic sized swimming pool features an attached waterslide, kiddie area, and diving area. The pool complex also offers both indoor and outdoor shower facilities along with restrooms for families to use during their visit.
