Located in the historic downtown area of Foley, AL is a unique attraction known as the "Foley Railroad Museum". The museum offers an expansive exhibit of coal, oil, and historical railroad memorabilia. In addition to history exhibits, the museum also houses a large model train layout that was constructed with great detail and accuracy. Many famous railroads from America's past are represented at this popular destination including Santa Fe, New York Central & Erie Railroad.

For many people visiting the museum, it serves as a nostalgia trip down memory lane with artifacts dating back to the steam engine era in America. Admission costs $4 for adults and children under 5 years old can gain access free of charge.

The Foley Railroad Museum & Model Train Exhibit is open 7 days a week and their hours of operation are Monday through Saturday 9 AM-5 PM and on Sunday from 1 pm to 5 pm.

The museum building can get quite crowded so it's recommended that groups larger than 10 people call ahead in order to schedule an appointment.
