Foley, Alabama is a coastal city located in Baldwin County. It is home to about 14,500 individuals according to the 2010 Census. A principal city of the Daphne-Fairhope-Foley Micropolitan Statistical Area, Foley was named after John B. Foley who purchased around 50,000 acres of land that later became the area upon which Foley was built. Foley was incorporated as a city in 1905 and G.I. Weatherly served as the city’s first mayor.

Foley is part of the Baldwin Public Schools system.  An elementary school, an intermediate school, a middle school, and a high school all serve to educate the residents of Foley. Fortis College serves as the area’s post-secondary school.

Downtown Foley is home to many attractions. Holmes Medical Museum was originally a hospital that operated from 1936 to 1958 and served as the area’s first hospital.
